Outside of design, I’m often drawn to photography, travel, and the small observations that come with moving through unfamiliar places. I like noticing how people behave, how spaces are used, and how everyday situations quietly shape interaction. I’ve always had a strong curiosity for digital tools, systems, and the way technology changes how we live, communicate, and create. At the same time, I value time with friends, shared routines, and the social moments that pull me away from the screen.

Living and studying in cultural contexts has made me more attentive to language, habits, and perspectives. For me, this curiosity is not separate from design. It shapes how I look at people, how I ask questions, and how I understand the world around me.

PROFILE

Jonas Wienberg is an interaction design student at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Schwäbisch Gmünd, focusing on systems-oriented digital products and emerging technologies.

His work explores how interfaces, services and connected systems can become more relevant, adaptive and human through thoughtful interaction design. With an interest in speculative concepts and future-facing user experiences, he approaches design as a way to better connect people and technology.

Alongside interface and UX design, he works across research, prototyping and digital workflows — combining design processes with emerging AI and development tools to rapidly explore and communicate ideas.

His projects range from experimental interaction concepts to strategic service thinking, often centred around usability, accessibility and the long-term role of technology in everyday life.

Previously, he served as Chair of the General Students’ Committee (AStA), where he led interdisciplinary initiatives focused on digitalisation, communication and student experience across the university.
